Reflecting on Process
Seven years after its festival debut, our short documentary Process is now on YouTube! To celebrate, we sat down with one of its stars to discuss how her journey since has shaped her process.
Home Video or Short Film
Sibling rivalry transforms a beach day into a battle for dominance in this documentary-style short film shot on an iPhone 14.
This short film is a Make Me Creative Studio experiment. While on vacation with his family, filmmaker Eric Pauls began capturing footage of a pelican floating near the shore on his iPhone. Nearby, his sons were playing catch, their laughter carrying an undertone of growing tension. Sensing a brewing conflict—and knowing that every good story needs one—he turned his camera on them. Over the next half hour, Eric filmed 24 minutes of footage that would become the entirety of this short film. When his flight home was delayed, he edited the footage on his laptop, and by the time they boarded, Brothers at Lake was complete.
Film School to Film Making: Painting Rocks and Making Films with Paige K Boudreau
The journey of an artist and filmmaker is anything but linear. Paige K. Boudrue has built a successful career as a showrunner, producer, and director, but her path involved as much dreaming as doing. In this video, we discuss her journey from film school to feature filmmaking, all while enjoying one of her favourite pastimes—painting rocks.
My favorite low-buget shots
The world is full of people talking about cameras and film tech. Rather than diving into the latest gadgets and gear, I decided to take a step back in time and share some behind-the-scenes stories from projects I’m proud of—specifically, those we created with little to no budget.
This is Not a Podcast
Listen, folks, the last thing we want is to deliver another stale podcast or a YouTube channel full of tedious advice. Podcasts have been a trusty companion in my life, and I'll list a few favourites at the end, but let’s face it—the formula is wearing thin. I’d like to think we can steer clear of that cliché, though who knows? We are probably guilty so far, but we aim for something more—a documentary of sorts and this video is a scene in that larger narrative. It might end up a cut scene in the long run, but in the spirit of “working out loud,” here it is.
Make ME a Youtube Channel
Make Me Creative Studio is working out loud, with a brand new Youtube channel.

I made a Blog Post
This was not supposed to be a blog post. It was supposed to be a prototype, to see if we could deliver a vlog through this site. However, my love for making things got the best of me, and now I've created the first 'Make Me' vlog post.
