Director Kyla Ferrier and musician Steven Benjamins approached us to make a video for the track Mushroom. They felt our sensibility matched that of the song. Given free rain to get creative, the idea of a group of kids wandering an adult-free prairie landscape was conceived.

Based in Toronto Steven chose to trust us, and let us film the entire production without him, here in Alberta. Fortunite to have a cast of amazing kids, and a team of amazing people helping us, we shot the video in a single day. To do this we built out little environments around the farm and surrounding community for the kids to act out improvised scenes. The final result was a video that translated the emotions inside Steven’s song and told a story perhaps bigger than we may have intended.
